Jackie Bechara
Hi there! My name is Jackie Bechara, I’m a fourth year, and I’m so excited to be returning as an Overall Chair of DM at UVA! I’m studying economics and English, minoring in Middle Eastern studies, and hoping to attend law school in the near future. From my very first marathon during my first year, I knew that the DM organization was something special. Since then, DM has provided some of my most memorable experiences during my time at UVA – not only because I get to put my passion for dancing toward a charitable cause, but also because of the truly inspiring people and stories I’ve encountered through my involvement in this organization. Outside of DM, I’m involved with Rhapsody Ballet Ensemble, Honor, VISAS, and The Raven Society. In my free time, I enjoy baking, doing ballet, watching reruns of Friends, practicing yoga, reading, and getting in a good workout. Feel free to contact me with any questions, and I sincerely hope you’ll join the DM team! FTK!! |

Sarah-Wynne Eppes
Hi! My name is Sarah-Wynne Eppes and I am a fourth year majoring in Foreign Affairs and History in the College. Outside of living and breathing Dance Marathon I enjoy running, keeping up with new music, and skiing when the weather permits it. Dance Marathon is an organization that allows college students to get involved in a philanthropy that is fun and engaging where they can directly be connected to the lives of the children that they aid. And in addition to the perks of giving back to the UVa community, I have built great friendships throughout my 4 years involved with DM at UVA. It is these relationships that make up my favorite part about Dance Marathon. Take a look around the website to get better acquainted with our mission at UVa and PLEASE register if you want to shake your booty for a purpose! For the Kids, Sarah-Wynne |

Eric Mace
Hey everyone, my name's Eric Mace and I'm a third year at UVA from Nashville, Tennessee. This is my third year working with Dance Marathon, and I can only say that I've enjoyed more and more each year I've participated. I started out helping with setup, last year I was Executive Assistant, and this year I'm honored to be one of DM's three Overall Chairs. I am looking forward to another great year of fundraising that is sure to be as successful as the past several years, and I can't wait to see everyone at the event in February! |

Molli Atallah
Hey guys! My name is Molli Atallah and I am a fourth year majoring in English. What will I do with so ambiguous a major? Well, I hope to join an amazing, life-changing nonprofit, like Dance Marathon! When I'm not studying in Alderman Library I like to spend my time scurrying after toddlers on the lawn and craning my neck to peek into strollers. This year I will invest that time in Dance Marathon (and possibly some dance lessons). Let's give it all we've got and go big for the kids! |

Caelan Fortes
My name is Caelan Fortes, but you can call me maybe. (Is that joke old yet?) I’m an Art History & Government major and stoked to be this year’s Executive Assistant. On grounds, I’m a member of Second Year and Student Council, but nothing is more rewarding or enjoyable than my involvement in Dance Marathon. For the students who participate, it’s not an extracurricular, but a passion. We love the kids, we love the cause, and we love to dance! In fifteen hours, you can watch thirty episodes of Jeopardy!, drive from Charlottesville to Disney World, or even listen to Avicii’s Levels 180 times, but I can’t think a better way to spend that time than staying on my feet for the kids! |

Anne Carter Blankenship
Hi, My name is Anne Carter Blankenship. I am a third year Commerce School student and French major. I joined Dance Marathon as a first year along with about twenty other clubs, but Dance Marathon is the one club that I have stuck with. As a first year, I served as Dorm Representative and last year I was on the Fundraising Committee. This year, I am fundraising chair and I hope to get the entire Charlottesville community involved in fundraising for the event. Outside of Dance Marathon, I enjoy running, going to concerts, and traveling. |

Malena Zelenko
Hey guys! My name is Malena Zelenko, and I’m a third year at Jefferson’s beautiful University. I transferred from Penn State after my first year and have loved every minute of being a Cavalier. I became involved with my high school’s Marathon Dance, as well as THON at Penn State. Transferring to another school with a Dance Marathon as fun and rewarding as UVA’s only deepened my interest in participation. I am thankful to have expanded my role in Dance Marathon as Hospital Relations Chair. As a nursing student, I work closely with the Children’s Hospital and other various units to connect the student body to University Hospital. Outside of DM, I enjoy playing soccer, attending acapella concerts, and going to sporting events. Dance Marathon is a great opportunity for me to feel at home at UVA; DM is where my heart is. |

CeCe Conner
Hi, my name is CeCe Conner and I’m a third year English and Modern Studies major. I am SO excited to be Marketing Chair this year, as I have loved my past two years serving on various comities for Dance Marathon. What I find most fulfilling is that this philanthropy is fun and exciting, but also truly makes a difference in the lives of children at UVA hospital. Outside of Dance Marathon, I am a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and I enjoy cooking, hanging out with friends, and exploring Charlottesville! Please sign up for Dance Marathon…you won’t regret it! |

Margaret Barton
Hi! My name is Margaret Barton and I am so excited for another year of Dance Marathon! It’s hard to believe that I am already fourth-year (majoring in psychology and neuroscience), but I realize how lucky I am to spend my last year here as Morale Chair. Dance Marathon captures the light heartedness of helping others. While it is hard to choose, my favorite thing about Dance Marathon is having the kids from Charlottesville and the UVA Children’s hospital come to our main event because it reminds us why we work so hard all year. |

Alice Chae
Hi! My name is Alice Chae and I'm a fourth year majoring in Cognitive Science and Bioethics. I'm so excited to be a part of Dance Marathon again this year-- this time as Operations Chair! What I love about DM is how genuinely passionate everyone is in coming together for the kids. Whether it was selling late night food on the Corner, visiting the hospital, or dancing like a goofball at the event, you could always feel the momentum that made it all worthwhile in the end. This cause is also especially close to my heart since my lifelong dream is to become a pediatrician and work with children every day. Outside of DM, I love to bake, hang out with friends, run with the Charlottesville-Albemarle rescue squad, and am a member of my sorority Zeta Tau Alpha. Let's make this year the best one yet! FTK. |

Mia Brown
I'm Mia Brown, a fourth year majoring in American Studies and Sociology. This year I will be serving as the Outreach Chair. Dance Marathon has, without a doubt, been one of my favorite and most meaningful UVA experiences. The passion and excitement within this organization is contagious...come join us! FTK! |

Eeshaan Sachatheva
Hey! My name is Eeshaan Sachatheva and I’m a third year at UVa and I’m currently studying chemistry and finance. I got involved with Dance Marathon in my second year as Marketing Chair, and now I’m excited to be the Special Events Chair for the 2012-2013 school year. My main goal for the year is to put together new, creative and memorable events to raise funds for Dance Marathon and promote it around grounds. Outside of Dance Marathon, I spend my time with other extracurricular activities such as the One in Four group, playing soccer, and DJing around campus. Hopefully I get to see you get involved with Dance Marathon this year! |

Jeff Oser
Hi, my name is Jeff Oser, and I’m currently a third year at UVa. I’ve had some great experiences and fun times throughout my first two years, but being a member of Dance Marathon has created some of the better ones to say the least. I participated in the Pledge Class Fraternity Dance-off my first year and have been hooked to DM since. I was a member of the Outreach Committee my second year, and am lucky enough to be a part of it again. After seeing the impact that DM had on the kids and their families at the Main Event in February my first year, I soon realized that this was the organization I would enjoy spending my free time with. When I’m not helping DM, I’ll either be shootin hoops at the AFC or playing a quick 9 holes at Birdwood. Joining Dance Marathon was definitely one of my smarter moves at UVa, make it one of yours, too. |

Ryan Barr
Hi! My name is Ryan Barr and I am a second year student from Atlanta, Georgia who is an aspiring Finance major. As Community Outreach Co-Chair with Jeff Oser, I hope to spread the passion of helping kids throughout Charlottesville! Aside from Dance Marathon, I am a member of SAE and enjoy the opportunity to play sports casually around Grounds and be a proud fan of UVA athletics. I look forward to seeing you at some Dance Marathon events and supporting the kids! |

Hayley Gaston-Enholm
Hi! My name is Hayley Gaston-Enholm, and I'm a fourth year in the nursing school here at UVa. As a nursing student, I have been truly fortunate to be able to put actual faces to the patients and families who have benefited from all of Dance Marathon's hard work in the past, and I have been able to see, first hand, what our work can continue to do for others in the future. Outside of DM, I spend my time pretending that I know how to dance, listening to music, and catching live shows when I can. I'm so excited to be a part of DM again this year, and I hope to see everyone out there groovin for the kids :) |

Laura LeBow
Hey! My name is Laura LeBow and I’m a fourth year at UVa majoring in Commerce and French. I joined Dance Marathon as a second year and have been First Year Outreach Chair as well as Community Outreach Chair. This year I am very excited to be one of the new Greek Outreach Chairs. Dance Marathon has had a huge impact on me over the years, but more importantly, DM has had a huge impact on the kids at UVA Children’s Hospital. We’re excited to continue to make a difference in these kids’ lives and welcome all of the help we can get! Outside of DM, I am a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and also love to run and travel. |

Emily Anne Self
Hi, my name is Emily Anne Self, and I'm a rising second year. Crazy that a year has already passed! Last year I was asked to be a member of a Dance Marathon team with a group of friends, and I became attached to the organization and it's mission immediately. Trying to find an activity to devote myself to as a first year was difficult until I stumbled across Dance Marathon, and that is why I have joined the Outreach Committee to help people realize that Dance Marathon is the organization for them. It's the best way to help people in need and have fun at the same time!! Other extracurricular activities you might see me doing around Grounds are with the Student Council's Student Life committee or volunteering through Madison House's Big Sib program. I hope that everyone will fall in love with DM as much as I have and participate in this year's fundraiser! |

Emily Goggins
Hi! My name is Emily Goggins and I’m a third year Psychology major at UVa. I’ve gotten really involved in Dance Marathon over my past two years here, and it has been a very rewarding experience. My first year I was a dorm representative for Kent and my second year I spread the word to first years about the event as a member of First Year Outreach Committee. This year, I’m excited to help motivate more dancers as Dancer Relations Chair. Outside of Dance Marathon, you can find me running with club cross country, reading in the McGregor room, or picnicking in a garden. I encourage all of you to get involved with Dance Marathon here at UVa. Remember, it’s For the Kids! |

Meg Gould
My name is Meg Gould and I'm a second year at UVa. After having participated in Dance Marathon last year, I saw how much this program really brings together the UVA community as well as the community, families, and children served by UVA Children's Hospital. This year, I'm honored to co-Chair the Fundraising Committee with Daniel Todd and I know that the 2013 Dance Marathon will be a great success (bring your best dance moves for the KIDS) ! |

My name is Justine Johnson, and I’m a third year majoring in Commerce. What I love about Dance Marathon is the direct connection and positive impact on children’s lives that is made possible through your work with DM. I’m also a member of Delta Gamma, and in my free time I love hanging out with my friends and trying new things around Charlottesville. |

Daniel Todd
Hi, my name’s Daniel Todd and I’m in my third year at UVA. This will be my first time as a member of the Dance Marathon team, but definitely not my first DM experience. I have been fortunate enough to have a big group of friends involved with this amazing philanthropy the past couple years, and seeing the ways that it has enriched their college experiences was definitely a driving factor in my joining this year. I’m looking forward to being a part of something that has touched so many lives and hope I can help keep that going this year. |

Molly Gardner
Hi! My name is Molly Gardner, and I’m a 2nd year pre-commerce student at UVa! Last year on Dance Marathon, I was a dance team captain and dorm representative. Leading up to and at the event, I saw how UVa’s amazing DM team works together and the importance of our efforts to the children. As a member of the marketing committee, I hope to motivate the UVa community and beyond to donate and participate in this wonderful event for the kids. Plus, I plan on dancing the day and night away! |

Chu Duan
Hi there! My name is Chuhong Duan (or just Chu) and I am a fourth year at UVa studying Electrical Engineering and Business. This year is my second year serving in the Dance Marathon Marketing Committee, and my fourth year participating in DM as a dancer. What really gets me about this group is its strong cohesion and determination when it comes to putting up the best events for the community, getting the most people concerned about children's diseases, and helping create miracles for the kids. Make sure you come check out our events throughout the year and remember to share with me how much you love it :) |

Laura Good
Hi! My name is Laura Good and I’m a second year pre-commerce and Spanish double major from Northern VA. Dance Marathon is a great way to get involved, and from a transfer’s point of view, also a great way to meet a fun group of people. I can’t think of a better way to combine my interests in music and performance than getting involved with Dance Marathon. Outside of Dance Marathon, I enjoy traveling, finding new music, painting, and especially rooting for the Washington Capitals! |

Mary McCoy
I'm Mary McCoy, a fourth year majoring in Economics at UVa. This is my second year as a member of the DM team, but it will be my third year dancing for the event. My favorite part about Dance Marathon is the dramatic conclusion when exec reveals the total amount we raised on giant poster boards. You would think we'd want to collapse after a full day on our feet, but we're empowered by the results because we know our efforts make a real difference in these kids' lives! When I'm not "partying for a purpose" or drawing supply and demand curves, I sing in my all female a cappella group and second family, Hoos in Treble. |
